ObesityVote.com is a grassroots program organized to alert, educate, and inform the public of legislative issues involving obesity and to encourage them to communicate with their legislators by offering them the tools to do so.

Why we need ObesityVote.com... |
Bariatric surgeons across the state of Virginia have watched as the health insurance companies have made access to life-saving surgery nearly impossible for morbidly obese people. A grassroots movement was needed to mobilize the obese population, the formerly-obese population, their friends, families, and other supporters to put the power of the vote to the test.

ObesityVote.com was created to give a voice to the people who have been denied life-saving treatment for morbid obesity and those who have had life-saving weight-loss surgery a chance to share their stories. Our legislators needed to be educated on the truth. They needed to hear from the people, not the special interest groups. ObesityVote.com is the place for people to exercise their voices!
